You see, there isn’t such a thing as a ‘healthy’, quick weight loss diet plan. Successful weight loss just doesn’t just happen that way. Why?, because it took years to reach the point where you are at today. So you have to expect that it will probably take awhile to see any results. So take that leap of faith and follow some of the basic principles in your diet plan.
First, talk yourself sensible and thin. This conversation runs through your brain continuously. What type of conversation are you having with your self when you think talk? Is it negative self talk that has constantly kept you from reaching your weight loss goals such as in the past?
If you had an opportunity to do it over again, would you alter the dialogue a bit? Well, you can and are able to turn that tide of negative self talk, starting right now. It’s never too late to start by reprogramming your brain’s self talk and thus beginning a whole new weight loss diet plan.
You can start with beginning to use positive affirmations. These positive affirmations are spoken out loud with authority, and has a positive affect on your attitude. It focuses your thinking that leads to a course of action that will assist you to becoming the person you want to be.
You can start by writing down your weight loss goals and affirmations on paper. You can begin with … “I want to lose 20 pounds before New Years”. Make sure you keep the goal realistic and attainable, and work to structure the affirmation.
First, your mind firmly believes that what you want is always in the future. So in order to re-program your minds self talk, you have to trick it into believing that you already have had weight loss success.
The subconscious mind doesn’t have the capacity to distinguish the concept of time. Everything is at the present, as in right now and here. When you order your subconscious mind that you want something, you will get it. So when you change that mental tape recorder in your head, you will then achieve exactly what you’re telling your mind to do, which is “you want to lose 20 pounds.” Your mind will then think “lose 20 pounds” until you change your self talk again.
If you presently weight 150 pounds and you want to weight 130 pounds, then you will need to “be” 130 pounds from the exact moment you make that decision, when you changed your self talk. So write down an affirmation to read “I am healthy and fit and weigh 130 pounds.”
It’s paramount that your affirmation is realistic and crystal clear as what you affirm is exactly what your subconscious mind will bring to you.
There is no limit to just one affirmation either. Write down several that reflects a new exercise program or healthy eating, for example. “I like my healthy new diet plan,” or, “I am losing weight because of the healthy foods I eat.”
Write and rewrite these affirmations until you are completely certain you have written your weight loss or health goals and the exact goals you desire. Then and only then do you begin to read it out aloud and do so throughout the day.
At first it may feel a bit awkward or you may not feel or believe that what you are saying is working. Keep in mind that it doesn’t matter, just continue to speak the affirmations out loud with full conviction. It takes a while to train your subconscious to rid of negative self talk. If you will persist with speaking your diet affirmations out loud, with confidence, you will be astounded at how soon you can turn your thoughts around.
You didn’t jump on a bike the very first time and just take off down the road. It took a lot of practice to train your self to balance on those two skinny wheels. These exercises will take some practice as well. Make sure you continue to repeat the affirmations out loud, several times a day for the next month and guaranteed, you will be amazed at how much you can change your thinking as well as attitude.
Make sure you take action. Doing nothing results in nothing getting done. Do something and things are put into motion. Regardless of what you are presently doing in life, the first step is to take action.
