For those kids who need to take the school bus, or enter the school doors and see the huge crowd of other kids, it can become intimidating. What they experience is competition for the first time. Whatever they want is not longer instantly given to them by mommy. They have to fight for the last seat on the bus, put their hand up to answer a question, stand in line for the bathroom or the cafeteria. They’re no longer number one, they need to wait their turn.

It starts the moment the child lets go of mommy’s hand and enters the school doors, seeing them wave goodbye. This is when they feel sad, the overwhelming feeling that they’re leaving them forever. What kids refuse to realize that it’s just for a few hours, and then they’ll go home where there’s a glass of milk and cookie waiting for them. This separation can alter the child’s behavior, feel lonely, thinking school is cold.

A good parent is the first teacher to the child. They prepare them the best way they can. Many however are too overprotective, this to the point the child’s growth becomes affected. This happens once every precaution is taken to keep the child safe, not get hurt, watching their every move. This continues once their child starts school, where the strings aren’t loosened. The child at school then feels scared and insecure, and begins to lose interest going to school. In other words they’re spoiled.

Most kids starting school the first day has is an inferiority complex. They don’t feel that good around other kids. There’s a feeling they don’t measure up, even at this young age. When the teacher asks a question, they become paralyzed, keep quiet even if they know the answer. They feel stress, peer pressure for the first time, the security of home no longer exists. Expressing themselves becomes terrifying, they don’t want to be made fun of or be bullied.
