3. Mustard
What the natural healing properties of mustard does is helps treat the flu virus, as it’s packed with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, which aids in recovery. Prepare a paste of 1 tablespoon of dry mustard, 4 tablespoons flour, one egg white, and add to warm water.
Smear the paste on a cloth, dab your chest with olive oil, then place the mustard formula on it. Remove it after a few minutes, or leave it on for up to 15 minutes, if comfortable. Do so once every four to six hours. Another option is adding 1 tablespoon of mustard powder into hot water, and soak your feet. Do so twice daily.

Drink this 3 to 4 times a day, or until the symptoms subside. Another option is add the juice of 1 lemon to 1 tablespoon of honey and rum, into a cup of boiling water. Drink this combo twice daily for a few days.

What pure honey contains are antibacterial and antimicrobial properties which speeds up the healing process. Take 1 tablespoon of honey with water several times a day, or mix with 1 cup of hot water with a few drops of lemon juice.
Doing so will promote mucus flow, while reducing irritation and itchiness in the throat. Another option is mixing equal amounts of honey and onion juice, and drink several times a day, or until the flu is gone.
