Blame It On The Apple iPad
Although the massive success of Apple’s iPad has not so far affected Amazon’s Kindle sales, the long-term impact of the web based Kindle electronic tablets remain unclear. Analysts predict that sales of these tablets, including the iPad, will total around 20 million units this year alone. These media tablets are expected to out sell other devices such as the e-reader.

Because of the “All in One” package that these media tablets provide, it will eventually take over other formats of consumer electronic products and devices such as media players and eventually gaming devices.

Although the pricing of these media tablets may remain a bit of a constraint right now, experts predict the majority of these tablets will will drop well below $299, in the next few years. That is why the Amazon Kindle is such a great deal at $139, although is is just an e-reader for now. It’s also predicted that these affordable electronic media devices will pose a threat to netbooks.

The biggest immediate threat to the Amazon Kindle, other than the obvious iPad, is expected to be the Samsung Galaxy Tab. There will also be other major players to sell these devices in the very near future.

Apple by the way, expects to sell more than 5 million of their iPads in the fourth quarter of 2010 alone.

E-Book Best Sellers Are Outselling Printed Versions
Amazon’s huge customer base is flocking to purchase the brand new Kindle, as many are converting over to reading electronic ink. The Kindle’s all new screen offers a 50% percent higher contrast, which delivers better readability, even in bright daylight or sunlight conditions. The Kindle also offers extended battery life as compared to the previous models, in fact up to to one month. The newest model is also light, just 8.5-ounces, and the $139 price tag are excellent reasons why it has become a best seller. The Kindle ebook reader is expected to be one of Amazon’s biggest holiday sellers by a huge margin.
