There are times when everyone on occasion, regardless of who you are, can get a bit down on themselves, become a little moody. Others may spiral further into the abyss and feel treacherous, as the walls of despair appears to be caving in on them.

Or what they’re attempting to do, is fit into society’s model of perfection and success.

Most will dedicate their lives to this, while neglecting the things which once brought them joy to their lives as a youngster.

This to elevate or stabilize the moodiness, while attempting to make life altering transitions which could prove to be too difficult.

It can be a difficult transition to cope with sudden change, whether it’s good or bad.

Some will have difficulty sleeping, especially in a new environment. A lack of sleep is known to have profound negative effects, when it comes to mood and stress behavior.

Get More Exercise

Just sweat it out. Something simple as walking your dog on a daily basis can have a big effect on your livelihood.

Doing so can anchor your mood, as just petting a dog is known to boost levels of the “love” hormone oxytocin, while decreasing stress hormones.

What exercise does is it boosts the levels of serotonin and dopamine, which has been proven just as effective as prescribed antidepressants.

So begin performing some type of fitness, as just a 30 minute walk or jog can do wonders.

Studies have shown doing yoga several times a week, will help in elevating the symptoms of feeling the blues.

You can begin with a short 20 to 30 minute yoga program, at home, found on the Internet.

What participating can do is make your mind and body feel instantly better. Doing so isolates and focuses on breathing, allowing the trapped stress and other issues to escape.


Connecting With Friends and Family

Always stay connected with family and close friends who you know supports you, since these types of relationships are important for your well-being.

Focus on building new friends at work or at the gym, those who have similar outlooks.

Find a way to stay connected to old friends, such as just calling someone or chatting old high school friends on Facebook.

Go to the beach, take short weekend getaways, or go on vacation with them. Discover new things, share, laugh, and you’ll feel a lot better.

It’s pretty well known the type of food you eat has a direct impact on the brain. So fill your stomach with tasty green smoothies on a daily basis.

Reduce your intake of empty sugary treats, while increasing fiber, fruits, and vegetables.

Remember The Things That Went Well

There’s evidence it’s important you remember all of the good things which happened in your life, in the past and most recently. Those events which went well for you.

So at the end of the day, look back and remember, find a few things which went well that day and then write them down.

Reflect on them, replay those events back in your mind, revisit those good feelings, the joy you felt.

So create a new version of your life, alter a new routine which includes meditation, or a form of contemplation or prayer every morning.

What doing so will make you feel a lot more anchored and stable, refreshed and energetic.

You’ll notice once these practices begin to take effect, they’ll dramatically boost your mood and feel upbeat, especially right after a yoga session or a jog.
